The expansion of special simplifications for authorized economic operators operating in the field of customs was discussed today at a regular meeting of the Public Advisory Council under the State Customs Committee.
The event, chaired by Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, was attended by heads of customs authorities and departmental enterprises, representatives of over 20 business entities, and political parties.
Particular attention was paid to the movement of goods in accordance with the customs transit procedure and its completion, including the use of transhipment and re-coupling.
Also on the agenda was the procedure for implementing international cargo flights throughout the EAEU using navigation seals, which help avoid additional checks and optimize logistics routes. They discussed the amendments and additions to Belarusian administrative and administrative-procedural legislation that have entered into force, focusing on establishing liability for the failure to use, removal, or replacement of seals en route for goods without permission from the customs authority.
Meeting participants also exchanged views on other conceptually important topics of customs regulation and acknowledged the effectiveness of the joint work.
Vladimir Orlovsky also noted this, thanking business representatives for their constructive cooperation with customs:
"Finding joint approaches that satisfy both parties is the main goal of the open dialogue between customs authorities and businesses on this platform. Here, we are able to successfully identify problematic issues and, through joint efforts, develop mutually beneficial solutions."
