Last week, during special operations near the Belarusian-Russian section of the border, Belarusian customs officers discovered more facts of illegal transportation of pears.
In total, about 40 tons of fruits worth more than 275 thousand white rubles were going to be exported from Belarus to Russia.
In the first case, Mogilev customs officers stopped a VOLVO truck carrying 20 tons of pears. The driver did not have the necessary shipping documents and certificates confirming the safety of the products.
A similar violation was recorded by the Vitebsk customs officers.
Another 20 tons of fruit were moved, by passing the law, by covering them with empty boxes in a MERCEDES vehicle.
Customs authorities have initiated administrative proceedings against Belarusian carriers in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The fine, according to the sanction of the article, will amount to 50% of the value of the subject of the administrative offense.
