Grodno customs officers stopped the import of 2 kg of a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance hidden inside a music speaker into the territory of the EAEU.
The column was moved across the border by a Russian citizen who arrived from Lithuania at the Benyakoni checkpoint, who stated that he did not have any personal goods prohibited for import or subject to declaration.
Scanning the man's luggage, the deposits in the music system were revealed. As a result, six bundles with a crystalline substance were extracted from it.
According to the results of the examination of the Directorate of the State Security Committee for the Grodno region, the seized substance is alpha-PVP.
The man said that he did not know about the contents of the column, agreed to transport it to Moscow for a fee.
During further control measures with the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the person to whom the "delivery" was addressed was identified - a 44-year-old Russian citizen.
A criminal case has been opened against her under Part 2 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for punishment up to 10 years in prison.
