During customs control of one of the heavy trucks arriving from Lithuania, customs officers found in the cabin about 60 silver coins of various denominations and 540 coins of Germany (Third Reich) in denominations of 2 Reichsmark 1937-1939.

They were moved by the driver, a 30-year-old citizen of Belarus, who told officials at the Kamenny Log checkpoint that he did not have goods subject to declaration.

The value of the coins is estimated at 45 thousand bel. rubles. The citizen paid about 5 thousand bel. rubles of a fine in accordance with part 4 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.

In connection with the attempt to move coins with the image of the fascist swastika, the driver's actions show signs of a crime under Article 341-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus "Propaganda or public display, manufacture, distribution of nazi symbols or paraphernalia."

The case materials have been transferred to the Oshmyansky district police department, and further verification measures are being carried out.
