Grodno customs officers at the Kamenny Log checkpoint seized a psychotropic substance from a Belarusian citizen who arrived from Lithuania by bus "Kaunas — Minsk".
In the hall of customs clearance and passenger control of the bus, a service dog indicated the possible presence of prohibited substances in the man.
During the subsequent inspection of the Belarusian's luggage, a jar of liquid without any identification labels was removed from the cosmetic bag.
According to the expert opinion of the Lida department of the SFEK in the Grodno region, the substance targeted for research is the psychotropic tetrahydrocannabinol. The weight of the prohibited substance was more than 16 grams.
The man was detained. The Grodno regional Customs opened a criminal case against him under Part 2 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.Related tags
