Practical and methodological issues related to customs control based on a risk management system were discussed this week in Minsk by experts of the working group at the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Eurasian Economic Union states.
The meeting participants heard reports on customs declaration and customs control of the customs value of certain types of goods, on the results of checks of documents and information after the release of goods.
During the meetings, the positions of the parties regarding the customs control of value in electronic commerce were outlined and the list of categories of goods for which the level of customs value is controlled was revised.
Customs officers from the five countries of the Union examined a number of issues in detail, compared the application of the risk management system in each country, assessed the effectiveness of the use of risk profiles and developed unified approaches.
