Brest customs officers at the Kozlovichi checkpoint revealed an attempt to illegally import a large batch of auto parts into the territory of the EAEU.

The cargo, some of which was not stated in the accompanying documents, was transported from France in a DAF vehicle of a Polish carrier.

The discrepancy between the goods actually being transported and the declared one was established using an inspection complex. Further inspection confirmed that over 2 thousand units of goods were being illegally imported.

The value of the "unaccounted-for" shipment was more than 200 thousand rubles, and the amount of customs duties payable for it was over 50 thousand rubles.

Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.

The missing payments will also have to be paid.
