Belarusian citizens will be prosecuted for participating with other persons in a criminal scheme to move 10 trucks with Polish apples through Belarus using forged documents and their further illegal transportation to Russia.
The scheme was revealed by the staff of the Operational Customs during the operational search activities.
As the staff of the anti-smuggling department established, the women acted together - one supervised the issue of tracking trucks that imported apples from Poland into the territory of Belarus. The second resolved issues related to the forgery of documents confirming the safety of products. She "provided" fruits with phytosanitary certificates, which allegedly indicated the Moldovan origin of apples.
The citizens received financial compensation for their participation in criminal frauds.
Thus, more than 200 tons of Polish apples were moved to Russia. In the forged documents, their value was over 170 thousand bel. rubles. The real cost is several times more - 700 thousand bel. rubles.
The Operational Customs has initiated criminal proceedings against Belarusian women and other unidentified persons involved in this scheme under Part 3 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. The article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.
