An attempt to save more than 68 thousand rubles on customs payments was stopped by Brest customs officers at the Kozlovichi Border checkpoint.

The violation was detected at the stage of checking the accompanying documents and confirmed during the customs inspection of a VOLVO truck arriving from Poland.

It was established that in addition to the declared goods, more than 9 thousand items of clothing, accessories and other household items were moved in it, information about which was not stated in the documents.

The cost of undeclared goods amounted to over 205 thousand rubles.

Brest Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against the Polish carrier who owns the vehicle in accordance with Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense. The missing customs duties will also have to be paid.
