A criminal scheme for the importation and involvement in economic turnover of three tractor trucks was established by Vitebsk customs officers.
A criminal case has been opened for tax evasion on a large scale when importing vehicles into the territory of the EAEU.
The tractors were detained during special events. It has been established that they were imported from the countries of the European Union under the guise of vehicles already registered in Russia. The fact of modification of the VIN numbers has been confirmed by a tracological examination.
Two citizens of the Russian Federation, acting in prior agreement with other persons, are involved in the implementation of the scheme.
The amount of unpaid customs duties on all vehicles amounted to more than 173 thousand rubles.
Vitebsk Customs has opened a criminal case in accordance with Part 2 of Article 231 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the defendants of which will be punished up to 6 years in prison.
