A Belarusian individual entrepreneur tried to illegally import 200 kg of hay from Russia. He followed in an IVECO truck, the movement of which was stopped by Vitebsk customs officers during special operations.
A commercial shipment of foreign-made goods was being transported in the vehicle, for some of which the driver provided invalid documents.
During the inspection, it was found that in addition to the illegal transportation of clothes, shoes, spare parts, chargers, a large batch of green granules packaged in polymer bags, which were hidden in fruit boxes, was imported into Belarus. The examination confirmed that it was a non–smoking tobacco mixture - nasvay.
It was also established that the individual entrepreneur imported other goods with a total value of 100 thousand white rubles into the customs territory of the EAEU from third countries without documents confirming customs clearance.
The carrier did not plan to deliver them before handing them over to individuals and to the places of control, as stipulated by Presidential Decree No. 297.
Vitebsk Customs has initiated administrative proceedings in accordance with Articles 13.12, 13.36 and Part 2 of Article 17.6 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
In accordance with the first two articles, an individual entrepreneur will pay a fine of up to 50% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense. And moving non-smoking tobacco products may cost him, in addition to a fine, the confiscation of a vehicle.
