A batch of foreign-made goods worth more than 1 million Belarusian rubles illegally imported into the territory of the EAEU was identified by employees of the Grodno regional customs.
More than 47,000 items of clothing, auto parts, musical equipment and other items were in an IVECO vehicle with a trailer, the movement of which was stopped by customs officers during a special event.
The driver of the Belarusian shipping company did not have any documents for the shipment of goods that arrived in Belarus from Russia, including confirming customs clearance when they were transported to the territory of the EAEU.
Grodno Regional Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against the carrier under Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 50% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
